Kindergarten

Students learn and identify with:

  • the name of all major parts of the computer
  • the keyboard letters and numbers
  • Enter key, Backspace key, Delete key
  • creating capital and lower case letters using the Shift key
  • using icons to open programs
  • scrolling up and down a document using the mouse and the scroll bar
  • navigating the mouse and cursor properly
  • Microsoft Office Word 2007 program, Paint and Kidspiration program
  • having fun with technology

First Grade

Students learn and identify with:

  • the name of all major parts of the computer
  • keyboarding basics
  • the Internet and Internet safety
  • creating, opening and saving folders and files
  • Microsoft Office Word 2007 and PowerPoint 2007 Programs
  • having fun with technology

Second - Eighth Grade

Students continue to learn and build mastery towards:

  • proper keyboarding techniques
  • technology terminology
  • technology tools and their purpose
  • Internet research
  • Internet safety
  • Microsoft Office Word 2007, PowerPoint2007, Publisher 2007, Excel 2007
  • end of the year classroom project
  • having fun with technology
