In addition to a strong academic program, St. Joseph offers a strong religious program. Daily religion classes are a regular part of the curriculum. Students have regular opportunities to participate in masses and prayer services. Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 must complete a service hours requirement as part of their religion classes.

Students at St. Joseph have a variety of choices of involvement in the school community outside the classroom. Students may join student council, CYO sports teams for both boys and girls, altar servers, yearbook, and cheerleading. The school also has Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops associated with the school.

All students wear school uniforms that can be purchased from Dennis Uniforms. On free dress days, there is still a dress code that is strictly enforced.

The school's computer lab offers access to the Internet and is a valuable learning and research tool.
